We have a database of almost 2000 pints at 800 pubs so far in 2024 and we've found the average Guinness price to £5.66. This is 9p higher than the average price for all pints across London of £5.57. A little steep compared to how things were back in the day but par for the course in 2024.
If cheap is what you're after then you will be well served by the Wetherspoons orbiting Central London like satellites where you can pick up a very reasonably priced Guinness as cheap as £3.09 at pubs like the Sir Julian Huxley in South Croydon. However, as you gravitate towards Central London prices tend to become a lot more expensive although honourable mentions to The Sir Michael Balcon (Wetherspoons) for a £3.49 guinness on the Mall near St James Park and The Swan, Hyde Park (non-Wetherspoons) serving a very respectable £5.10 Guinness.
The most expensive Guinness on our database is an eye watering £8 in 1 Lombard Street Bar & Restaurant Bank. This is closely followed by Boisdale of Belgravia that boasts a £7.90 price tag. On the whole, Guinness isn't too bad for having an over £7 price tag with 2% of Guinnesses on our database falling into this category. Unfortunately, over 60% of prices are above £6 meaning you can certainly expect to be tapping your card to a number that doesn't start with a 5.
