Price of a Pint in London 2024

Rising Prices

Pint prices in London have risen seemingly endlessly. Just a few years ago £5 was seen as scandalous price for a pint... and now the average pint price we've found is £5.67! This is arguably unsurprising in the context of recent UK inflation however people are still looking for a bargain with pints getting as expensive as £9.50. Fortunately, we're here to help!

The Good News

There are still cheap pints out there. Of course you have Wetherspoons peppering the map where you can grab a pint for under 4 quid but there are other cheap pubs out there such as Angie's Free House in Westminster which serves pints between £4-5. The cheapest pint in London is a £2.90 John Smith's from The Nag's Head in Peckham which also provides a £4.05 Stella Artois and a selection of other wonderfully priced pints.

The Bad News

It's very common to see pint prices in London above £6. Especially in more central areas. In fact, we've found 332 pints that are £7+ and the most expensive pint in London is a £9.50 Aspall Cyder from Baccarat Bar in Harrods (no surprise there).

The Guinness News

We know how much you love a pint of Guinness so we've got the stats here for you too. The average Guinness price is a relatively predicatable £5.66, pretty much bang on the average pint price for London. The cheapest is in a Wetherspoons at £3.09 and the most expensive is an eye watering £8 in 1 Lombard Street Bar & Restaurant Bank. Fortunately, there is plenty in the middle and you can check it out below.
