The Price of a Pint

Surge in Prices
London's pint prices have been climbing consistently. What once shocked consumers at £5 a pint has now climbed to an average of £5.67. Given the recent inflation trends in the UK, this spike might not come as a surprise, yet the quest for affordable drinks persists as some pints soar to £9.50. However, fear not, as we're here to guide you to more budget-friendly options.

Positive Developments
Affordable pints haven't vanished. With Wetherspoons widely available, pints there go for less than £4, but there are other economical options like Angie's Free House in Westminster, offering pints for £4-5. The most budget-friendly option is at The Nag's Head in Peckham, where a John Smith's is just £2.90, accompanied by a £4.05 Stella Artois and other reasonably priced selections.

Unfavorable Trends
In London, it's increasingly common to find pints priced over £6, particularly in central locations. Our findings show 332 instances of pints costing £7 or more, with the priciest being a £9.50 Aspall Cyder at Baccarat Bar in Harrods.

Guinness Report
For those Guinness aficionados, the average price is fairly stable at £5.66, aligning closely with London's overall average pint price. The most budget-friendly Guinness is available at Wetherspoons for £3.09, while the highest price hits £8 at 1 Lombard Street Bar & Restaurant Bank. There's a wide range of prices in between, ensuring something for everyone
